Journal AWWA article highlights Total Water Management

Malcolm Pirnie's Ed Means and Nicole West are two of the co-authors of an article in the latest Journal AWWA on the challenges posed to water utilities by population growth and climate change over the next 25 years.   • Space-age technology may provide tool for water-short underdeveloped countries (Wired.com, August)
    Commentary: As the Discovery landed safely in the California desert early Tuesday morning to an audible sigh of relief from millions, few gave any thought to the most fundamental of "life-support" issues.  Adapting the space-program technology, developed at huge cost, for down-to-earth human uses makes those costs really worthwhile.
