  • Falmouth, MA lead testing gives elevated results (Cape Cod Times, April 9)
    Commentary:  The second largest city on Cape Cod serves about 4000 residents in 3000 connections, 2500 of which were apparently built in the '80s when lead solder was still in vogue.  Falmouth illustrates the difficulty utilities can have with LCR compliance.  Despite treatment to make the delivered water less corrosive, the city's lead results have varied above and below the lead Action Level.
