This week's NEWS

Appellate court gets Nebraska's constitutional challenge to the arsenic rule, the SDWA, the CCRs, and............is there something else? ACWA study focuses on the cost of CA arsenic residuals issues as CDHS moves its MCL process along. TCR comes into focus as distribution water quality gets attention........along with cross-connection control. The mystery of the mysterious Arizona amoeba is still under the microscope. The island of Jersey..........that would probably be "old Jersey" for those of you in Hoboken.....doesn't have a nitrate standard. The labels on bottled water in the Golden State may get pretty long-winded if proposed legislation passes. A full plate of groundwater contaminants is served up once again.

MEC Perchlorate Services

Quality services that ensure safe drinking water -- McGuire Environmental Consultants, Inc. MEC has been active in perchlorate issues since discovery of the contaminant in drinking water in 1997. Since then, MEC has been a consultant to numerous water systems, worked with both manufacturers of treatment technologies and potentially responsible parties (PRPs), and has given expert witness testimony on perchlorate related matters.

For more information on these services, please contact Jim Leserman at either jleserman@mcguireinc.com or visit mcguireinc.com/perchlorate.
Water Security
As we corrected the above link to put Layton back in Utah even though the report came from a central Wyoming city newspaper, our attention was drawn again to another geographical error that made its way in the NEWS last week when we put Vancouver, Washington in Oregon because of the Portland, OR paper.  Of course we know (with a little help from an inside reader) that no one calls Portland "the Couv" and everyone in Vancouver pays sales tax.
