Vol. 2, No.  6 --  February 7, 2001

This week's NEWS

Fallout from radioactivity has been an issue in Nevada in the past but this time the fallout is about arsenic -- the unproven but speculated link to childhood cancer in Fallon and the high costs of the new regulation in many states.  The Brake fern may help put the brakes on arsenic discharges.  Preliminary information is available on the CDHS requirements for hexavalent chromium monitoring under the "unregulated contaminant" rule.  California's acceptance of UV for treating drinking water sources containing NDMA is explained.
